Getting started

1. Download Thimble for Mac and open the .dmg, then drag Thimble into your Applications folder. The iPhone and iPad app is coming soon to the App Store.
2. Open it and choose Get started.

The Mac download is signed with Apple’s Developer ID, notarized by Apple, and keeps itself up to date: it checks for new versions daily, and you can check any time from Thimble → Check for Updates. 3. Add an App Store Connect API key. Thimble walks you through creating one in App Store Connect, under Users and Access, then Integrations.

Your key is stored in your device’s Keychain and is only ever sent to Apple.

Unlocking Pro after buying on the web

When you subscribe on this website or in Thimble for Mac, the email with your receipt has a link that unlocks Pro in Thimble.

1. Open the email on the Mac where Thimble is installed.
2. Click the link. Thimble opens and Pro unlocks straight away.

If you’re signed in to iCloud, that’s the only time you need to: Pro follows your iCloud account to Thimble on your other Macs, iPhone and iPad. It works the other way too, so Pro bought in the App Store unlocks Thimble for Mac from this website.

Each link works once and for an hour. If yours has expired, open it anyway: a fresh one is emailed to you automatically. Without iCloud, each extra Mac you use Thimble on gets its own link the same way.

Managing your subscription

• Subscribed through Apple: manage it from your Apple account’s subscriptions, in Settings on iPhone or iPad, or the App Store on your Mac.
• Subscribed on the website: every receipt email has a link to manage your subscription, where you can switch plan, update your card or cancel.
